Originally run by 21st Romsey Rifle Club and Shakleton Rifle club.
We started with Springer air rifles back in 2015 with the new format targets. Running from a range indoors to a run outdoors of 400m.
The targets were made out of old filing cabinet sides, some scrap wood, hinges and fencing wire, constructed by Stephen Batchelor and Trevor Draper.
Following from a first year successful event the 2nd event was advertised and we had the first UK based international competition with competitors from England, Wales, Netherlands and South Africa.
The targets had been upgraded from the previous year but still all made in house.
The third year we were sponsored by Sureshot and proper knockdown targets were purchased. This year was another international with a return of the teams/athelete from England, Wales, Netherlands and South Africa.
British Shooting had now picked up on the discpiline and national championships had formed.
